Believe in Jesus Christ is one of the most important things we can do. If we do, we have the power to walk in the footsteps of our Lord and live in his day-to-day presence. By believing in Jesus Christ we become like him, submitting to his commandments and believing that he will be and always be with us.
The subject of belief and what it means is so important in this article. Many people think they know what their beliefs are, but I don’t. I was taught a belief system that was totally different than what I now practice. Not only am I changing my life but so will you if you truly believe in Jesus.
Many people just assume what they believe because that is how they were taught as kids. I was taught to believe that the Christian God was an omnipotent and perfect being. I also was taught that there would be a single person in a family who had authority over everyone else and that this person went by the name of “Dad”.
Some of the beliefs I grew up with made other people suffer in life such as guilt, fear, and self-loathing. I know what it’s like to struggle with some of these issues. It’s a daily battle between good people trying to live the best lives possible while bad people try to live dishonest lives full of sin. Get to know the faith of the family church and know more about their vision and mission when you drop by their website.
Believe it or not, life is filled with hypocrisy and most people don’t even know it. We are all walking around with a conscious and subconscious message saying “I’m okay, but underneath it all there is a conflict.” This is why living a life of truth and change is so important. Jesus Christ changed the world so we can change it. Change is necessary for progress.
If we don’t change our behavior, our thinking, our emotions, and our actions, then we’re stuck in our same place. What changes someone else? Others! One big thing I believe God wants us to do is to forgive those who have wronged us. I am convinced that forgiveness is one of the most powerful things we can do to transform our lives.
When we forgive others we also forgive ourselves. Without forgiveness, our sense of self-worth is bruised and we become reluctant to change because we believe that if we do change, it may be too soon. Another belief I’ve grown up with as a child is that if you want to save your marriage, you must believe in Jesus Christ.
I think that many people fail to see the connection between believing in Jesus Christ and saving a marriage because they only think of their marriage problem as a physical problem. They fail to realize that a spiritual problem can be as damaging as a physical problem. I know from experience that saving marriage requires both faith and action.
If I want to believe in Jesus Christ, I have to put my faith and actions into action. Believe in Jesus Christ and get saved! It really isn’t that hard. I was able to save my marriage with my faith and action. I was willing to put God’s work into saving my marriage and I know it can work for you too.
I know many married couples who believe in Christ but yet struggle with communication. There will be times when problems will arise and at those times communication may be impossible.
I believe that God wants us to communicate with each other but that sometimes when we are in the midst of a problem our natural communication skills aren’t what they should be so that’s when we need to use the great plan of God to speak with Him in a place of peace, love, and power. That is how believing in Jesus Christ can help you save your marriage.
I know a few people who believe in Christ but don’t practice what they preach. When they do things the way they should, they love God and their fellow man but then when something doesn’t work out the way they hoped, they let go of their faith.
The greatest thing anyone can do is to love God with all of their heart, mind, and soul. If you truly want to walk in the footsteps of Christ, you must walk in love. If your spouse is not a believer in Jesus, I encourage you to begin to change that now. Your spouse needs to feel as though you love him more than anything.
You need to go out of your way to do things for your spouse. If you want to be successful, your spouse needs to believe that you can be a better person. I believe that can be one way for saving your marriage.
