Welcome to the CLC monthly bulletin for June, giving you a brief summary of opportunities for young people, training for PAs and policy developments.
Please look especially for the programme of important CLC IAG courses in July (see the training section below). You now need to book online (you will need your username and password). These courses have been rated highly by PAs in past years and are now open to other youth support staff too.
In September 2008 the first batch of 14-19 Diplomas will be released for KS4 students. These include Creative & Media, Engineering, Society Health & Development, IT & Construction, with the offer varying borough to borough. The CLC IAG training courses will help you to encourage Year 9 students to explore these options when thinking about KS4. Further Diplomas in Business, Hair & Beauty, Hospitality & Catering, Land Based & Manufacturing will be rolled out next year in various boroughs.
