Opportunities for Young People

July Job Info Sheets are now available: Every month CLC produces info sheets on 16 job areas, from engineering to retail, plus summer vacancies and part-time jobs. Each provides for PAs and young people a summary of the labour market, actual live jobs, apprenticeships and related courses.
Other vacancies include engineering, construction, motor vehicle, hairdressing vacancies and many more opportunities, and are available within seperate job information sheets on the site.

Information & Policy

Well Done PAs!! London achieved the highest post-16 participation rate in England in 2007/08, according to data recently produced by the DCSF. With participation rates in London at 82.1%, these are racing ahead the national average of 77.5%.

Staff Training and Seminars

Have you used your login to the new CLC online training booking system?

There are still places available for the remaining courses that are happening in July, We've listed the courses below, to view more information on the courses and others that are available click here (you will need to login with your user name & password first to view courses). If you don't have access (for example you are a member of the IYSS staff team in the 7 CLC boroughs) email for your login clctraining@rbkc.gov.uk or application form.

Courses happening in July include:

  • Achieving the IAG Standards (15/07/08) - tools & techniques to ensure that the standards are met
  • Group Work (18/07/08) -  explore how you can be more effective in group work sessions
  • Working in Schools & Colleges (22/07/08 & 23/07/08) - demonstrate your unique contributions to IAG, in the context of the Youth Matters, Next Steps, the Childrens Plan and the National IAG Standards.
