Welcome to the August CLC e-bulletin for PAs, managers and others involved in supporting young people in central London.
PAs deserve a huge thank you for the tremendous July effort that went into the September guarantee offer activities. The importance and value of recording offers for year 11 students is huge as it identifies young people who do not yet have a robust and appropriate offer and need more PA guidance. But the process was a massive challenge and very hard work for PAs – yet you did so brilliantly to collect the data by hook or by crook. CLC led the way in London with offer-status recorded for way over 90% of school leavers – thank you!
August is a particularly busy month, with a myriad of summer activities, and for young people preparing for their next academic year. By the end of the month there will be the usual post-GCSE results queues at Connexions Centres. We hope to see even more young people moving into post 16 learning – already London young people lead the way nationally.
