Still good news - NEET levels remain as low as ever – testimony to how much support and opportunity young people now access. As Spring gets into gear, our focus will turn to year 11 and year 12 offers and progressions, plus routes to universities and apprenticeships.

Opportunities for young people

Job information sheets for April are available for download on the CLC website. Vacancies this month include Computer Technician and social media (facebook etc) apprentice, Chef apprenticeships including the Jamie Oliver Foundation, Creative arts and much more.

Fastlaners is a two week intensive course for graduates who are at the risk of not finding suitable employment.

Information for staff working in IYSS

The Central London Connexions website has been refreshed and is now live! The site will give better access to useful information, advice and guidance for young people, parents and carers and staff working with young people.

Changes to the special EMA arrangements for learners on Entry to employment (e2e) - E2E is moving into Foundation Learning (FL) for 2010/2011; as such the existing special arrangements that apply to e2e learners for EMA (that they receive £30 EMA per week regardless of household income) will cease. Staff training, events & conferences

The new training programme for 2010/11 will be available to all staff shortly. The programme will offer a wider range of courses and we have enhanced our offer by working with the London East Connexions partnership to dovetail into some of their training courses.
