You can now stay up-to date with all our latest volunteering opportunities by following out tweets on twitter. Just find us at vteamCL or twitter.com/vteamcl. A great way to get volunteering opportunities before v-mail is sent out. We look forward to twittering with you.

Correction

In a previous v-mail we advertised for Alternate summer festival volunteers. We have subsequently found out that this opportunity is connected to an organization that we strongly advise young people not to consider as a safe volunteering involving organization, and therefore seriously advise that you do not volunteer with this organization. If anyone has contacted this organisation “one world foundation” please contact me immediately for further information (gary.wells@londonyouth.org.uk). The central London Vinvolved team will have nothing further to do with this organisation and opportunity and would insist that for your own safety you do not volunteer with them.

The National Portrait Gallery Youth Forum was set up in autumn 2006 as a young people's advisory panel.

There are currently 15 active members who meet once a month on a Thursday evening at the Gallery.

The four key words they use to describe what they do are participate, innovate, articulate and create.

Current activities include running events for other young people, developing an online presence and creating resources, such as a young people's audio guide.

We provide refreshments at the meetings and cover travel expenses within London .
