clips for use in lessons, research information for students &
help for parents. A selection of the best websites

box - media clips from industry
sectors and supported by the Institute for Careers Guidance.
Recently added clips include – stage by stage video clips
of interview techniques.
iCould - media clips from people choosing different career
options, including gap years and industry sectors - supported by
CRAC.
The above sites are directly usable in a
classroom giving you clips of people who have recently chossen a
careers path telling you what it is like to be in a particular
job.

council – Useful to
find out about career opportunities in different

prospectus. It provides comphrehensive information on all London
post 16 courses, training options,
apprenticeships and jobs, all searchable through career,
provider, subject, key word or location. This website can be useful to
use during parents evenings.

MAILING TO THE
PARENTS AND CARERS OF STUDENTS IN YEAR 9
A mailout will be distributed on 31st March
2010 to parents and carers of year 9 students, which will
include a leaflet containing information on the key 14-19
learning options, decision times and a range of useful and
helpful tips on their future course planning.
